I am Asaf Lalo, a goldsmith and diamond dealer at the Israel Diamond Exchange in Ramat Gan, and the person behind every piece LALO Fine Jewelry makes. I write the articles on this blog myself, from what happens in the workshop and in conversations with the people who order from me.
What I do
Engagement rings and fine jewelry in 14K and 18K gold, with natural or lab-grown diamonds, made to order. Every piece starts with a conversation about the person who will wear it, continues through a sketch and a 3D model you approve, and ends with casting, setting and a certificate.
How I work
- I sell both natural and lab-grown diamonds and take no side; the right stone is the one that fits the person and the budget.
- I never use a customer's knowledge gap. If a better deal exists elsewhere, I say so.
- Budget is a planning tool, not a sales tool: every shekel should buy the most value it can.
- I would not sell a diamond I would not give my own wife.
Why the articles here
Most of my customers arrive by recommendation. These articles are the same explanations I give across the table, written down so you can read them before the first message: what moves a price, what a certificate really says, how long a custom ring takes, which gold to pick. Prices in the articles are real and dated; when a price list changes, the article is refreshed.
